Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs might have been known as a hip-hop mogul. However, ever since allegations of assault by the rapper were brought to light by Cassie Ventura, more and more people have been coming forward to discuss what they know about the 54-year-old’s alleged raging temper. Although he has been known to have a larger-than-life persona and business acumen, there seems to be a much darker side to the once-beloved music icon.
With his recent arrest charges coming to light, some people who worked with Diddy at Bad Boy Records alleged that the rapper had a rather difficult time controlling his temper at work. In fact, one even claimed that he almost jumped into a catfight that did not involve him.

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs is no stranger to controversy and high-stakes moments. With the music mogul having built a reputation in the entertainment industry, it makes sense that he likes to keep a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to work. However, it looks like the rapper once wound up taking his attitude a little too far. In an interview withRolling Stone, Felicia Newsome, who managed Bad Boy’s recording studio, opened up about one incident, that nearly saw him erupt into assault mode.

Newsome recalled a usual day in the office that almost went horribly wrong. Things took a twist when a fight broke out at the recording studio between two women. While most people would have tried to stop it, the managed recalled Diddy stating that he was going to get involved. She told the magazine that he claimed he was about to“beat this girl’s a**,”when she stepped in to hold him back.

The world might be stunned at Diddy’s fall from grace and explosive temper. However, the rapper and evena few other celebritieshave always been more than open about just how bad it could get. In fact, he even admitted that his temper was what had earned him a nickname.
Why Diddy was nicknamed Puffy
Over the years, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has gone by various names. However, a few like Puffy and Puff Daddy have stood the test of time. While the rapper constantly changed his artistic name, his nickname stayed the same. In an interview with Jet Magazine in 1998 via theWashington Post, the 54-year-old ended up explaining how he had earned his weird nickname.
Whenever I got mad as a kid, I used to always huff and puff. I had a temper. That’s why my friend started calling me Puffy.
While he managed to explain his nickname, the rapper has been known to keep switching up his name every few years. After all, he went from Puffy to Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Brother Love, and now the music mogul claims that the real name that he wants to go by is Love.

Although the name, Puffy, may have started off as a joke, Comb’s temper has left him under fire for many alleged assaults. In fact, with his recent federal charges for trafficking and his arrest, the rapper might end up switching it up to try and keep things fresh once again.
