XDefiantis now available worldwide for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and while fans are heavilypraising its lack of skill-based matchmaking, others are being mocked after ‘underperforming’ in multiplayer matches.
After receiving multiple beta tests throughout 2023 and 2024,Ubisoft’s highly-anticipated first-person shooter finally launched earlier this week. Things got off to a pretty rocky start for Ubisoft, as the title experienced some severe connection issues at launch. Thankfully, things began to smooth out and within 24 hours, players were checking out everything XDefiant had to offer the FPS genre.

Halo Infinite’s COD Zombies Mode Is Motivating Players To Reinstall The Shooter
The Forge Falcons' Survive the Undead PvE horde mode has energized Halo Infinite’s matchmaking.
The game’s lack of skill-based matchmaking is a refreshing change of pace from the likes ofCall of Duty, which will practically punish you with 3-4 bad games for 1 good one. But it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses for XDefiant, as fans believe that the game’sweapon levelling is “absurdly slow.“If you do want to max out your weapons, don’t expect it to be like Call of Duty, because XDefiant wants you to put in that grind.

But while you’re putting in that grind, make sure to be on the lookout for some light-hearted mockery from Ubisoft if you don’t meet their standards.
XDefiant Fans Are Being Mocked By Ubisoft
Over on Reddit, one user is showcasing how they were light-heartedly mocked by Ubisoft for achieving, well…not much. In a post on the XDefiant subreddit,Reddit user Vince_-sarcastically said, “Thanks for making me feel special,” before showing a screenshot of their “ran around” accolade at the end of a multiplayer match.
Other users then chimed in, noting that this isn’t a one-off thing, as Ubisoft appears to be mocking players around the world in hilarious fashion. “In my first match i sucked hard and got ‘showed up’,“another usersaid in response.

Plenty of other players noted that they had received accolades such as “moral support,” “showed up,” “helped,” and “present,” among many other things. So, if you find yourself having a relatively bad game, don’t be surprised to see Ubisoft poking some fun at you in the after-match screen.
