Almost out of nowhere a few weeks ago, Ubisoft confirmed thatXDefiant, the free-to-play title that has some similarities toCall of Duty, will be released today. The first impressions of the game are starting to come, and the players are already complaining about the long queue to find any match to play.

XDefiant is not letting players enter a match even after long queue.

This game has a team of 6v6 players fighting each other in several modes. The game’s characters have a variety of abilities that they can use in battle to make a difference in the match. However, players cannot even enter the game to see the gameplay.

Ubisoft’s XDefiant Makes You Wait to Play

In 2021,Ubisoft first announcedXDefiantas a free-to-play counterpart toCall of Duty. This game will introduce all the different and popular factions from other Ubisoft franchises as they fight each other in a pseudo-futuristic setting. This game also falls underTom Clancy’sbrand. In a 6v6 battle, each faction will have the opportunity to take down the enemies using the different skill sets of each character.

After a bit more than three years, the company announced that the game is available today, but the first reactions of the players are not very positive. Many players are complaining that the title has a long queue to wait until you can enter a match.

This kind of thing can really affect the way new players see this title. Even though the streamers are suffering from this, while they are trying the game, they can find a match to enter.

Ubisoft’s new FPS was launched today and its Free-to-play.

Ubisoft Could Be Facing Another Failure

The first complaints were posted on X, saying that almost no user can enter a match without waiting an eternity or having to reboot the game several times until the problem is fixed.

I think I’m going to leave XDefiant for a couple of days till the server issues are sorted but that one game I did manage to play was pretty fun.

XDefiantis not making the best first impression; if the issue persists, players will quickly abandon the game. The game on Twitch only allows streamers to wait in queue without the option to enter a match, regardless of the mode.

Big content creators like Shroud had a ton of concerns entering any match; the popular eSports team rebooted the game various times on a live stream while trying to enter a match. WithHelldivers 2, something similar happened, but the concern was due to many players trying to enter the game at the same time. At the moment, Ubisoft has not mentioned anything about this issue.

With new factions added to the game, new maps, new modes, and new weapons,XDefianthas already revealed a roadmap for the upcoming months. There are two seasons in development for the game, and this FPS also has its own battle pass for the more concurrent players that are willing to try the whole package that this new IP can offer by using all the lore from other titles that the company has made in the past.

What are your thoughts on the issue of entering a match? Let us know in the comments!

I’m a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
