Redfallis reportedly targeting a May 2023 release date, with some form of early access period similar toForza Horizon 5under consideration. According toWindows Central, the upcomingXboxexclusive from Arkane Studios will hit consoles within the first week of May next year.
Redfall will join the lineup of Xbox-exclusive games in 2023, which also includesStarfield, Fable, and Replaced. The much-awaited co-op shooter has never had a firm release date since it was first announced during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase. Now, according toOkami13and Windows Central’s own sources, Redfall will see a slight delay in its release date next year. Having been pushed back to the first half of 2023, Redfall has previously been rumored to be launching in early March. However, a recent report from Windows Central suggests it won’t actually be happening.

The leak comes courtesy of Okami13, who claimed via Twitter that Redfall has been pushed back internally by six weeks. Afterwards, a new report from Windows Central’s Jez Corden revealed he has corroborated with the leak this past week, suggesting the first week of May 2023 as a potential launch date.
Additionally, Redfall will reportedly have an early access period of sorts, working similarly to Forza Horizon 5’s premium editions. It will grant players a few days of early access to Redfall if everything goes as planned. Needless to say, players should take this leak with a pinch of salt until Bethesda officially confirms the details.
Redfall is being developed by Arkane Studios, best known as the creators of Dishonored 2, Deathloop, and Prey. According to the developer team, it offers a cooperative, story-driven RPG experience in an open world packed with mystery, vampires, and a painstakingly created environment. Players will choose from four heroes, each having their own abilities and weapons. They will also upgrade these abilities to test out their boundaries and switch things up to differentiate their play style.
