Some of the most entertaining television series in the animated field have finally made – and are about to make – their way to the screens in 2025, quenching fans’ curiosity and never-ending anticipation surrounding the same. This includes the likes ofInvincible, which is currently winning fans over with its third season, andYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

However, while both of these shows are as perfect as can be in their respective places, being parts of different universes each, there’s quite a bit of debate swirling online about which series is better and which one isn’t. But now is not the time to be engulfed in such debates, for, truth be told, these two respective masterpieces aren’t actually comparable, despite online fan debate.

Unpopular Opinion:Invincible S3andYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Mancan’t be compared

2025 has only just begun its run and it is already proving to be an incredible year for all the superhero show fans out there. For one, not only has the third season ofRobert Kirkman,Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’sInvinciblebrought back the fan-favorite series to the screens, butYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manhas finally debuted on the screens after a long, long wait as well.

But while both of these shows have had barely a few episodes released of them – three of the former and five of the latter – fans are already launching into comparison mode as they debate which one of the two is better than the other. However, as much as they may want to fight over this, here’s a rather hot take: The respective shows can’t be compared, for reasons more than one.

For one, the tone of both masterpieces is the complete opposite. While on the one hand,Invincibleis more inclined towards including mature themes and brutal actions, on the other hand,Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manleaves off morekid-friendly and wholesome vibes. So the people comparing them are basically just taking sides based on their own respective preferences.

“You would think Amazon has better budgets”: Invincible Season 3 Is Good but Prime Video Is Spiraling Downwards With the Best Superhero Show

Besides acknowledging how both the series are doing very different things and are both deeply immersive and entertaining, there’s the fact that the former is already serving a cooked meal with its third season while the latter is only just getting started with its run. Not to mention, the former has had only 3 episodes released so far while the latter has had 5.

Thus, with both of thembeing worthwhile watching experiences in their ownrespective lanes and serving perfection in two completely different and opposing themes, fans might as well stop comparing them and enjoy both. But that hardly seems to be the case understandable among netizens, who are still busy debating which one of the two is unraveling better than the other.

Fans, in the meanwhile, are still busy debating which one of the two is better

Although both of them are shows from the superhero genre,Invincible, andYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manare both installments from two different franchises, the former being from its own titular franchise and the latter serving as an addition to the Marvel universe. However, even this fact isn’t stopping fans from debating about which one is better in their eyes.

To say the least, taking toX, here’s how they are sharing their respective perspectives on the two masterpiece animated projects:

Invincible (L) and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (R) have fans fighting.

Yeah. The first 3 episodes of Invincible are already better than the 5 episodes of the Spider-Man cartoon.

Spider-Man is surprisingly good. But nothing is passing invincible. We are about to witness some of the best comics ever on screen

‘Invincible’ Season 3: What Happened to Angstrom Levy After Mark Definitely Left Him for Dead?

superman & invincible look the exact same. atleast spider-man tried something new.also, i don’t think that’s what the original post meant by superhero animation

Even My Adventures With Superman and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man look better than Invincible!

Invincible is the only one I’ve seen here that’s actually good. The new Superman & Spider-Man shows are pathetic & just plain lame. I haven’t seen X-Men 97', as it doesn’t look interesting to me in the slightest. I’ve heard mixed reviews of it, but I still don’t care to see it.

Invincible is better than My Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the reason is the animation, while Invincible had porn animators working on it in season 1

‘Invincible’ Season 3: What Happened to Angstrom Levy After Mark Definitely Left Him for Dead?

All of this being acknowledged, while the debate sparked on this matter still seems to be as strong as ever, it’s not really all that plausible while considering all the above-listed factors that set both the respective shows apart from each other and make them even less comparable. That said, instead of fighting over which one is better, fans might as well just learn to enjoy both of them in their respective places.

Invinciblecan currently be streamed on Prime Video whileYour Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Manis available to be streamed on Disney+.
