The second episode was mostly about the upcoming disaster known as the Spirit Tortoise.
Spirit Tortoise In The Rising Of The Shield Hero: Character Explained
Spirit Tortoise is a giant creature who is known to cause even a greater disaster than the Waves. It is the first legendary beast from the known Guardian Beasts. Its appearance can terrify even the greatest of heroes. With the size as large as a mountain, hard turtle skin, and a shield on the back, it is not easy to defeat the Spirit Tortoise. Its size is so large that the city of Reiki settled on its back once.
Earlier, the beast had been in a fight with Fitoria. As a result of not being killed properly, the Spirit Tortoise returned in an even terrifying form. Its eyes were dark red in color, and the town on its back was almost destroyed. It grew long tower-like tentacles on its back that worked as a missile and even grew several heads while fighting Fitoria.
Huge size and hard skin are not the only ability of the Spirit Tortoise. With its powerful gravity magic, the beast can freeze its enemies, leaving them no choice but to get crushed under its feet. In some instances, the Spirit Tortoise also uses electric beam attacks, which it generates from its mouth or the center of its heart’s eyeball. Other than the Shield Hero, no one else has been able to block this attack so far. The creature is capable enough to summon the beasts in the form of bats, gorillas, yetis, zombies, and much more. There’s only one way to defeat the giant Tortoise, and that is by destroying its core.
