Lake’s post hints that Detective Casey and Co. could be in for a troubling fate and if he will even survive the DLC. Whether or not Alex Casey and Saga Anderson survive the DLC wouldn’t be answered until it came out, but the idea that Lake could be hanging up the acting boots also sounds far-fetched. It could very well be that the context was withinAlan Wake 2and that he could still return for a third title in the franchise.
The sequel’s second DLC,Lake House, is said to showcase how the world ofAlan Wakeis connected toControland is bound to take the story to a whole new angle. The first DLC,Night Springs, will also reportedly feature a plethora of Easter Egg references toControland other Remedy titles.

Fans will now hope they don’t see the last of Sam Lake in the upcoming DLCs for the sequel.
