However, at the end of the film, Logan sadly dies (oops! Spoiler alert). Ever since the announcement was made that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in the upcoming film, fans have only one question to ask.

And Kevin Feige seems to know that question since he clarified inThe Official Marvel Podcastthat he will not be desecrating the grave of the 2017 filmLogan,or the X-Men franchise.
And in cases like Logan, they [the people] think they said goodbye to once in an excellent movie that we also had nothing to do with called Logan.

He further continued,
And we were very conscious about maintaining the integrity of that movie and what we’ve done with Deadpool & Wolverine but it’s very exciting to see how we can continue with the same actors in new incarnations.

Well, surprisingly, it was Hugh Jackman who came up with the idea of a Deadpool-Wolverine movie. Luckily for the actor, director Shawn Levy and actor Ryan Reynolds were in the process of thinking of a story for the next Deadpool movie!

Before it was finalized that Wolverine would be a part of the movie, Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds were unable to come up with an original idea forDeadpool 3.Wanting it to be a fantastic movie that marked Deadpool’s entry into the MCU, the actor-director duo was confused.
Well, in an interview withVanity Fair,The Greatest Showmanactor revealed that he had no idea that Reynolds and Levy were in the process of thinking about the story.

Jackman stated that he was chilling by the beach when a simple idea erupted into his mind.
I was sitting on a beach, not a care in the world, and for some reason, the thought came into my head: What do you want to do? And the first two things had nothing to do with work—then literally, I thought: Deadpool-Wolverine. I want to do that movie. That’s what I want.
After driving home, Jackman called Ryan Reynolds and that is how the story of Deadpool meets Wolverine came to be. Marvel presidentKevin Feigehas assured the world that the legacy ofLoganwill not be disturbed.
