Now, insider Daniel Richtman whose scoops have hit the mark more often than not, has reported thatSpider-Man 4will have a new love interest for Holland’s Peter.

While this was revealed in Richtman’sPatreonpost, he did not confirm which character will be replacing MJ in Peter Parker’s heart. However, he did have something to say about a certain someone being a“potential choice.”
Richtman stated,
Spider-Man 4 will feature a new female love interest. Black Cat is a potential choice, but the official casting will be announced soon.
From Kitty Pride to Gwen Stacy, a ton of names are floating around on social media when it comes to who should be Holland’s love interest in the upcoming solo film. Keeping them all aside, the top choice for fans is Black Cat aka Felicia Hardy.
A charismatic and morally ambiguous character, she and Peter have history, complexity, drama, and a whole lot of flirting. At the end of the day, Black Cat may be a good change of pace for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Spider-Man 4‘s script gets a rehaul
According to another report, this time byMyTimeToShineHello,Spider-Man 4,Kevin Feigewas unhappy with how the film’s script was coming along which has apparently led to the rewriting of it all.
As per the report,the team is“now rewriting it and changing everything. The script isn’t ready yet and won’t be for a while.”Richtman also shared a similar report on his Patreon and even revealed that the OG script was all set to have two classic villains in the film –Shocker and Scorpion, both of whom were inSpider-Man: Homecoming.

It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room like this is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.
Well, we hope that whatever the writers come up with next has the same effect on Holland, Zendaya, Feige, and the fans. It’s not going to be easy to live up toNo Way Home‘s hype but hey, it’s worth trying!
