The highly anticipated game could be caught between the crossfire with the current strikes and fans are not happy about the prospect of the game being delayed. Game development takes time and it is inconvenient for everyone else.
GTA 6 Could Be a Victim of Another Strike and the Fans Are Not Too Thrilled About It
Rockstar Gameshas set the bar high for massive open-world games and the gaming community is prepared to take on what the developers have been working on for the past few years. The fans anticipated that this massive project requires a lot of work and there is always a high possibility for delays, andGTA 6could always miss the potential release window.
The current events in the entertainment industry are far from ideal and developers are now taking a stand against using artificial intelligence in the video game industry. However, after a recent earnings call from Take-Two Interactive, the company guarantees that projects in active development are protected from any potential video game strikes despite being listed as one of the companies that are part of the strike.
Strauss Zelnick is the CEO of the parent company of Rockstar Games and was asked during the November 2023earnings callabout the potential strike hampering the progress of active projects and claimed that these games would be safe from any delay.
“I’ve been involved with labour negotiations in every entertainment industry there is in my career and they’ve always worked out just fine. In the event that they don’t work out just fine, we are completely protected.”

Events like this can cause a breach of trust, if Zelnick fails to keep his word then he risks losing the favor of the gaming community and hurting the project. Fans can only hope for the best.
