Season 3has arrived forWarzone 2, bringing a massive overhaul of new features into DMZ. While the introduction of a new Barter system and Contraband Workbenches are sure to switch up gameplay elements, the addition of a brand-new faction has become the highlight for DMZ grinders. All new missions such asCartel Investigationwill see you taking on new hostile combatants within Al Mazrah.

Cartel Investigation is one of the many Tier 1 Missions for the Redacted Faction and is broken down into three individual objectives. To complete them, you mustlocate the Cartel within Al Mazrah,kill a total of 5 Cartel soldiers, and thenfind and extract 2 Large Contraband Packages. Doing so will bag you a Double XP Token and a 5,000 XP reward.
Locating The Cartel
For the first objective of the Cartel Investigation Faction Mission, you will need tolocate the Cartel in Al Mazrah. The Cartel is a new enemy faction that has taken up residence in Al Mazrah, and can generally befound occupying Hafid Port. Heading over to Hafid Port should complete the first part of the mission. However, to fulfill the second, simply eliminate a total of 5 Cartel soldiers. Cartel members can easily be identified as hostile combatants that lack any form of military uniform - generally wearing hoodies and other forms of casual wear.

Finding & Extracting 2 Large Contraband Packages
The final and arguably more conspicuous objective requires you toloot and extract 2 Large Contraband Packages. While mission items like the Ashika Island Hard Drive forBreak Checkhave a set location in which they spawn, the Large Contraband Packages do not follow the same rule. You can in fact find multiple packages lying around Hafid Port, and they can be identified ascardboard packages sporting blue tapeon their corners. These packages can generally befound on shelving units within warehouses and other buildingsaround the port area - but bear in mind that they do not spawn one hundred percent of the time.
Once you have 2 packages in your backpack, simply proceed to extraction to secure mission progress.
Unlike other Faction Missions, youdo not need to extract both items within the same deployment.
