Consumables can also be equipped and used, giving characters other options in combat. One of the more necessary consumables are Medikits, that can heal characters or nearby allies when needed; but not every character can easily equip them.

How To Equip & Use Consumables
Each character canequip up to four consumables at a time.In a character’s inventory menu, there will be a square offour slots in the bottom right of their equipmentscreen, which is where consumables can be placed. Consumables in the equipment menucannot be stacked and can only be placed individually,meaning a character canonly carry four of even the same consumable.
In combat, these consumables appear in thefar right options of theircombat menu.Most consumablestake up to two AP to use, along with counting as an action.Consumables such as grenades are incredibly useful, as theyautomatically hit all nearby enemies, and players will only need to worry about the enemy possibly dodging,but chances of that are low.

How To Equip & Use Medikits
Medikits are a bit more difficult to use as they do require characters to have a certain skill level or talent to use. If a character is unable to use Medikits,simply upgrade their Medicae skill once when leveling up,no matter their starting or ending stat after the upgrade.Upgrading this skill once will allow any character to use a Medikit.For those not wanting to use a skill upgrade to use Medikits, theField Medic Warrior talent can be used, which also allows that Warrior to use Medikits.
While Medikits naturally restore a good amount of wounds,increasing a characterMedicae skillcan further boost the effectiveness of the amount of wounds recovered.Increasing a character’s Medicae skill can alsogive them access to stronger Medikits later in the game,making it a great skill investment for a healing/support-type character.
