What Happened Previously On Vinland Saga?
Thorfinn and Snake engaged in a fierce battle, with Thorfinn managing to land a punch but Snake cutting him in return. As they fought, they both wondered about each other’s past. When Snake had the opportunity to kill Gardar, who had killed five of his men, he asked Thorfinn and Arnheid whether Gardar’s life was worth more than the lives of his men. They remained silent, and Snake ultimately decided to take Gardar’s life for killing his men.
During the struggle, Gardar choked Snake, who managed to stab him in the leg before losing consciousness. Thorfinn tried to stop Gardar, but he was too strong. Arnheid convinced Gardar to release Snake, and they took the cart to leave. Gardar’s wound was severe and bleeding heavily, and he started to feel cold and see visions of his time as a slave. He recalled the birth of his son and promised to fight for him. Gardar lay on Arnheid’s lap and had a vision of leaving them behind to fight. He told Arnheid he would never leave them again. Finally, Gardar succumbed to his injuries in Arnheid’s arms, and the episode ended with Snake’s men approaching them.
