Iñárritu made his mark in Hollywood with the Oscar-winning filmBirdmanin 2014. The film also earned him Oscars for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. He received his consecutive Best Director Oscar the next year forThe Revenant. After the two exhausting films, the21 Gramsdirector took a long break from Hollywood until now.
Iñárritu wrote the script for the new film alongside Sabina Berman and his two co-writers from Birdman, Alexander Dinelaris and Nicolas Giacobone. The Oscar-winning trio’s script itself is a big factor that hypes up the new movie. Following the completion of the script in 2023, theBabeldirector met with a few actors recently to cast in the film.
