Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueis a title that has received generous criticism from fans of the Arkhamvese. The game was criticized for singlehandedly ruining the world ofBatman Arkhamgames.

As a live service game, new content for the title is released regularly. The game’s upcoming season was teased recently, but players have already decided.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Season 2 Reveal Isn’t Enough to Entice Fans
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewas the first title from a studio known for giving fans some of the best superhero games ever. Ever since theBatman Arkhamtrilogy concluded in 2015 withArkham Knight,Rocksteadywas seemingly working on a game in which the players would, as the title stated, stand against a rogue Justice League.
Captain Boomerang’s Baffling Inclusion in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Makes More Sense with the Original Concept of Combat in Mind
Despite the time involved in its production,it was an incredibly lukewarm title. Despite being set in the same universe as Rocksteady’s previous games, it strayed miles away from it.
Season 2 for the game has been announced, including Mrs. Freeze, a different take on a classic villain. This led to Miller Ross, a renowned leaker and content creator who has posted about the game several times, announcing the wave of new content on his Twitter Account:

It’s official: Season 2 of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League starts on July 11th. Rocksteady just sent out an e-mail showcasing the upcoming gear, cosmetics, and features from episodes 3 and 4, plus the formal reveal of Victoria Frias, aka Mrs. Freeze.pic.twitter.com/lXkSejbHCA
Amazingly, the team responsible for the game is still pushing out new content despite the poor responseSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas received. But it seems like no amount of new content will appeal to fans now.

Fans Think New Content for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Is Too Little, Too Late
Live service games are usually hated because they have repulsive elements like microtransactions, facilitating a pay-to-win approach among players.
Rocksteady’s Problems Ran Deeper than a Troubled Launch, With Secrecy, Development Bottlenecks, New Hires Being Kept in the Dark, and More that Led to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Failure
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguedid not offer such microtransactions, andthe title’s battle pass system encouraged players to grindthe game. But even that wasn’t enough for the game’s plummeting player count. This has reflected itself even in Season 2 of the game, offering plenty of new content for no extra cost.
This is how fans reacted to the announcement:
This won’t bring back players and make it less of a flop
Some were even surprised that the game was even around or considered relevant enough for Rocksteady to dish out new content for it:

surprised this game is still around tbh
On the bright side, some fans were hyped about upcoming seasons. But prominent leakers like Ross stated thatSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguemight die before it reaches Season 5:

I’m not convinced there’s going to be a season 5 anymore
The downfall of the franchise, which was the benchmark for superhero games at the time, has been incredibly tough to watch, especially for fans. No matter how many narrative tricks Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League pulls, it is doubtful that any of them would change the game’s premise.
What did you think of the game by Rocksteady? Is it fairly rated, or does it get too much hate, in your opinion? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
