Sung Jinwoo might be the protagonist ofSolo Levelingand is entirely too overpowered but he began his story as the weakest hunter, standing at a mere E-rank. It was only through the special System that he gained enough strength to be known as the strongest hunter.

He was chosen as a Player of the System to gain power without restraint after proving himself to be quite selfless. His hard work gave him the strength and recognition to become the Shadow Monarch. This, however, doesn’t mean he will remain invincible throughoutSolo Leveling.
At some point, Cha Hae-In and Sung Jinwoo get married and have a son together, Sung Suho. Their son is born far stronger than his father and much more naturally talented.

Suho manifested his abilities when he was a mere toddler. Instead of walking, he flew and his parents knew his powers were too strong.Solo Levelingfinally had someone who would be Jinwoo’s match, it just happened to be his son.
Suho took on his father’s mantle inSolo Leveling: Ragnarok
The spin-off and sequel toSolo Leveling,Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, has Sung Suho as the protagonist. While the original manhwa was written by Chugong, the spin-off web novel is by Daul. The two are connected and actively involve Sung Jinwoo.
Sung Suho goes on a very similar journey to his father’s as he too got picked to be a Player in the System. However, as a child, Jinwoo sealed his powers away after his classmates shunned him and the teachers began to notice his strange behavior.

Wanting Suho to have a normal life, he even blocked his memories. Despite these efforts, his prodigy was incredibly strong, already above S-Rank and his only match was Jinwoo, who is the literal Shadow Monarch.
Thanks to the careful consideration of Daul and the original author ofSolo Leveling,Sung Suho’s story is nothing like Boruto Uzumaki’s inBoruto: Naruto Next Generations.Jinwoo’s son isn’t a copycat of him.

While he was naturally born strong, his time in the Dungeons was vastly different. Sung Suho can do things even Jinwoo can’t do. However, rather than trying to surpass his father, he wants to help him carry the burden he bears.
Will Suho actually surpass Jinwoo?
The question is the central theme ofSolo Leveling: Ragnarok. We know Suho has this untapped potential sealed away in him for the sheer danger it possesses.
During his childhood, Jinwoo’s shadows were like toys to him. He’d defeat them with no issues at such a young age. However, the plot took a turn when his powers proved to be a hindrance to his social life and they were sealed away.

Unless he does unlock his full potential, there’s no way Suho will surpass Jinwoo. After all, fatherhood didn’t stop him from getting even stronger.Solo Leveling: Ragnarokintroducesan even stronger version of the beloved protagonist.

Despite his sealed powers, it doesn’t seem like Suho has any intention ofbecoming stronger than his father. He seems more interested in being his equal through his efforts.
