After watching the movie, Hideo Kojima shared his admiration forFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga, over the opening scene where Anya Taylor-Joy’s young Furiosa is seen being chased in a desert by strangers on bikes. Dissecting the particular sequence from the film, Kojima referred to the legendary filmmaker George Miller as “God George”.

Addressing how the scene opens with waves of anxiety, the video game designer noted that the suspense eventually subsided after the biker tripped over a tree, only for Furiosa to get chased by another biker approaching from outside the frame.
