Speaking withCoveredGeekly’s Christopher Gallardo, Henry Zaga openly admitted that he would love to return as Sunspot in the MCU, alongside his co-stars fromThe New Mutants.According to the interview, Zaga’s enthusiasm stems from the potential of his character and thenarrative following theX-Men ’97storyline, which he believes still has much to offer and explore.

“Of course, I would love to return to the MCU! I feel like Sunspot is such a beloved character and I absolutely love him. I think there’s still so much to explore still with that storyline. It would just be a joy to bring all those actors back together.”
Although a new ensemble of actors will likely fill important X-Men roles, once they venture into the MCU, Henry Zaga simply urged for the $29B franchise (viaThe Numbers) to let him reprise his role. Whether or not Zaga returns as Sunspot, his character will certainly get some redemption by joining the MCU’s version with a world of new possibilities.
