Although Mads Mikkelsen is known for many roles, he has gained a completely different kind of audience ever since he starred as Hannibal Lecter. Playing the role of serial killer, cannibal, and psychiatrist, he certainly got to explore many different professions and lifestyle choices through the beloved character.

However, it would seem that he has not had enough of eating people on screen. During an interview, Mikkelsen revealed that he would love to be a part ofThe Walking Dead.
Mads Mikkelsen has not fulfilled his hunger
If there is one person that can make cannibalism look attractive, it is Hannibal Lecter. Throughout the course of Bryan Fuller’s series,Mads Mikkelsengot to cook people into some of the most delicious-looking dishes on television, forcing viewers to question their dietary restrictions.
On the other hand, if one needs a disgusting example of people eating other people, one need not look further than the zombie genre. It would seem that these two worlds could collide for Mikkelsen in the most hilarious way possible.

I’m a huge fan of zombies, and therefore Walking Dead.
“He’s much more than a psychopath”: Mads Mikkelsen’s Idea of Hannibal is Quite Different from What Anthony Hopkins Did to Make Him Satan
During aHannibalconvention at the New York City Comic Con (viaPopverse), Mikkelsen revealed that he was a big fan of the zombie genre, specifically namingThe Walking Deadas a project that he likes. He then went on to reveal quite an interesting wish that he had.
Mads Mikkelsen does not care if he is being slayed or doing the slaying
Mads Mikkelsen further revealed that on top of being a fan ofThe Walking Dead,he also really wants to star in it. He stated that while he would enjoy killing zombies in the series, he also really wants to be one himself.
Considering the star was conflicted, it was suggested that he could play a zombie hunter who gets bitten and turns into a zombie himself. Mikkelsen seemed to be wary of that, stating that a zombie may not get the amount of screen time he wants in a genre such as this.

I know it’s been running for a long time, and it would be repetitive, I guess. But there’s something cool about killing zombies. There’s also something really cool about being a zombie. So, I can’t make up my mind what I want to play.
“Any continuation of his story would cheapen it”: Enough Time Has Passed, It’s Time We Accept Mads Mikkelsen Shouldn’t Return for ‘Hannibal’ Season 4
Although the beloved zombie series has ended, it still has multiple spin-offs. With so many stories still waiting to be told in that world, Mikkelsen could easily star in one of them.
But do they survive for a long time? The zombies, do they have their own screen time.

He could also fulfill his want to eat humans again—only this time it would be more socially acceptable.
