Tatsuki Fujimoto, thecreator ofChainsaw Man, admitted inan interviewthat when he draws one-shots, he is usually angry. This is a pretty unusual response given that a lot of authors consider their works as their precious creations. Fujimoto on the other hand claimed:

“You know, there’s a lot of angry people on the internet. And I think they can vent their anger on sites like Twitter, but I don’t really know how to. I put my anger into my manga.”

Tatsuki Fujimoto claimed that he wrote while he was angry, and he would write a storyboard before sleeping. He would quickly draw it and send it to the editor without even reading it properly. Even the editor admitted that the writer used to submit one every day.

“I’ll send it while I’m still angry, so the day after I do that, I’ll wonder how it was… Since I’m ignorant, I write about my angry thoughts.”
