The showCreature Commandoshas offered audiences a lot of peeks into the DCU’s future, from Superman to Wonder Woman, to even Batman. While there have been a lot of speculations about whether Robert Pattinson’s Batman is going to join the DCU, a theory suggests that the Batman that fans would be seeing could be something a lot more recent from the comics.
The Batman that made an appearance in Doctor Phosphorous’s backstory was remarkably buff as compared to Robert Pattinson’s Batman, which has led many to believe that the DCU’s Batman would indeed be divorced from the Reeves-verse. This might suggest that a different Batman will be part of the DCU, in the form of the Absolute version of the character.

While the DCU might most likely stick to Bruce Wayne as he is traditionally portrayed in the Batman mythos, it must be noted that the character is one of the more buffer iterations of the hero, when compared to stuff like Batman as he exists in the Reeves-verse, the DCAU, and even the various cartoon series that he appeared in outside the DCAU.
Will James Gunn introduce Batman in any other project?

With two live-action films lined up for the DCU, along with a slew of shows and other films yet to enter production, James Gunn has an opportunity to introduce Batman on more than one occasion. However, it seems unlikely that Batman will make a full appearance anywhere but in his own film.
