According to SteamDB,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguereached its highest Steam player count of all time, with13,459 last Saturday. The peak is lower than that ofGotham Knights(24,138) and evenMarvel’s Midnight Suns(15,500).
These data are the biggest evidence that the newSuicide Squadaddition has not fully reached its potential. That said, it’s still brand new and released last week. So, this can be interpreted as a new Steam peak in the future, albeit unlikely.

The real issue was not that fans killed their favorite superheroes but the weak and lackluster endings they had for them. Harley Quinn grabs her gun, says a few sarcastic words, and kills the Dark Knight by shooting him in the head. We all know Batman doesn’t deserve such an ending.
Besides the Bat,Justice Leaguemembers killed include Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman. Fans either didn’t want these superheroes to be killed off, or they weren’t pleased with the way they died. Both situations greatly reduced the excitement and caused players to abandon the game.
