Englund appeared in the 11th episode ofSupernaturalseason 6, with his character serving as an ally to Dean Winchester, played byJensen Ackles. In the episode, titledAppointment In Samarra, Dean takes the help of Dr. Robert to momentarily kill himself so he can find and make a deal with Death to get Sam’s soul back.

The episode marks the Freddy Krueger actor’s only appearance in the hit series, where he shared most of his scenes with Ackles’ Dean. In the episode, it is revealed that Englund’s Dr. Robert had a history with John Winchester. Moreover, he is aware of the world of monsters and biblical beings in which Sam and Dean find themselves. Therefore, he could have proven a capable ally to the Winchesters.
