The differences that he described between the two films are reminiscent of what he intended to do what his Justice League sequel, with the team and the Darkseid story.

Snyder revealed that Part 1 was setting up the foundation of the sequel and it will be a full-blown war film. The stakes have risen significantly from the first film and the director promised that it will be a thrilling sequel. He toldEntertainment Weekly,
“Part Two is a war movie. We know that Noble’s alive and Belisarius has given him the task of finding his daughter and bringing her back to him at all costs. So the stakes have risen for the village from ‘hey, we want some of your grain’ to now ‘you’re harboring the most wanted fugitive in the history of the galaxy.’”
Snyder seems to have taken his plans for his potentialJustice Leaguesequel and applied them to hisRebel Moonuniverse. With Snyder given free reign at Netflix, he is finally making sure that his vision comes through the screen.

Snyder revealed that Part 2 is a complete war film and has more action and intensitythan the first film. Additionally, he also stated that the sequel will dive deep into the characters’ backstories, and that will contribute to making the film an emotional rollercoaster. He said,
“It’s a war film, 100 per cent. It’s got way more action than the first movie, very intense and crazy action. It’s absolutely an emotional rollercoaster you’re going to be on with these cats. We discover the backstories of our heroes, and there is an interesting correlation between what’s happened to most of them to make this battle cathartic and symbolic.”
The film will see the return ofSofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, and Anthony Hopkins.Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiverwill be released on Netflix on July 01, 2025. Fans can catch up on the first film on the streamer itself.
