Eiichiro Oda has still kept fans in the dark about many characters. Whether it is Imu, Joyboy, or Shanks, fans hardly have any idea about the intentions of these characters. There exists one more persona whoOne Piecefans are expecting to return to the plot, and it is a member of the legendary Roger Pirates.

Fans have been obsessed with Scopper Gaban for years now. Gaban is a former member of Roger’s crew and seems to be one of the main nakama of the pirate. But why are fans expecting his return inOne Piece? A fan theory explains it all.
Why do Fans Expect Scopper Gaban to Appear in the Final Saga ofOne Piece?
According to a fan theory, Scopper Gaban could be the Sanji of the Roger Pirates crew. It is a simple assumption based on their names: GOL D. Roger,SILVERS Rayleigh, and S-COPPER Gaban. Roger already plays a big part in the story, since he began the Great Pirate Era. He was also the one because of whom Luffy wanted to be the Pirate King.
One Piece Chapter 1122 Reveals a Character With Haki More Formidable Than Luffy, Shanks, and Gol D. Roger
Rayleigh, on the other hand, helped the Straw Hats in the Sabaody Arc. He was also present in the Post-Marineford Timeskip and trained Luffy to achieve prowess over Haki for two years. There is another Roger Pirate who was at the beginning of Luffy’s journey, which is Crocus. In the Reverse Mountain Arc, he provided the crew with a Log Pose.
Thus, there is bound to beanother Roger Pirate who is yet to appear in the finale, and who else would be a better choice than Gaban since he has beenportrayed multiple timeswith Roger as an essential part of the group?

Does Scopper Gaban Possess the Final Road Poneglyph?
In the world ofOne Piece, there existthirty Poneglyphs in total, which have been classified into three types. Historical Poneglyphs contain ancient inscriptions that reveal the erased history of the world. Instructional Poneglyphs indicate the location of other Poneglyphs. Finally, the most sought-after are the Road Poneglyphs.
One Piece: Eiichiro Oda Might Have Revealed Why No One Has Found the 4th Poneglyph After Gol D. Roger Because it Doesn’t Exist in the First Place
There are four Poneglyphs in the world, and once discovered, they will lead to Laughtale, where theOne Pieceis located. Gol D. Roger left his treasure at this island and to reach it, Luffy needs to find out all the Poneglyphs. So far, only three of them have been found, and fans speculate that the final one is in possession of the former Roger Pirate crew, Gaban.
It makes sense that a member of the Roger Pirates will hold the last Poneglyph to protect the secret of Laghtale and prevent any random villain from reaching it. By the end ofOne Piece, Luffy might even have to prove himself in front of Gaban to reach the treasure.
