Among the plethora of powerful characters within Tite Kubo’sBleach, the one name that scares literally everyone is Kenpachi Zaraki, the current captain of the 11th Division in the Gotei 13. Zaraki is one of the most savage characters who has built a fearsome personality that is solely based on the immense power that he possesses.

He is a legendary character who has proved himself multiple times and could easily earn the title of one of the strongest Shinigamis inBleach. The intriguing thing about him is that he doesn’t even use his Bankai till the last fight and still manages to retain this title.

There are many other undeniable facts about the extraordinary character that make his storyline even more interesting. He is the embodiment of strength, and these facts shed light on his savageness.

1His Bankai Had a Zanpakuto

The coolest fact about Kenpachi Zaraki will probably be that his Bankai had a Zanpakuto of its own. Most of the fans might not know this, but Zaraki’s Bankai had a physical form, and it was none other than Yachiru Kusajishi. Yachiru was the former lieutenant of the 11th Division in the Gotei 13, serving under Zaraki.

However, in reality,Yachiru was a representation of a form of Kenpachi’sBankai that was isolated from its main body and ultimately became a Shinigami upon receiving a name from Kenpachi.

Yachiru was so strong that she had a Zanpakuto of herself called Sanpo Kenju. Not only that, her Zanpakuto even had a Shikai ability that was a menace in itself. This proves that Zaraki’s powers as a Shinigami were on a whole different level.

2Most of the Quincies Couldn’t Even Lend A Proper Attack on Him

Another legendary aspect of Kenpachi Zaraki’s character was the fact that during the first Quincy raid, he took down not one but three Quincies who were members of the Wandenreich’s Sternritter. One of them was Jerome Guzbatt, with the designation R: The Roar.

Jerome’s Schrift allowed him to enlarge his size and transform into an ape-like form that drastically amplified the force of his roars. The roars are so strong that they can blow off his opponent’s head just by the pressure of its soundwave.

However, his most powerful roar was only able to blow up Zaraki’s eardrum, which was nothing compared to the injuries he had in the past. Zaraki decides to end the battle by splitting Jerome into two halves and moving on to the next opponent.

3Zaraki Can Literally Rip Out His Enemy’s Throats

When Zaraki moves on to his other opponent, he finds himself dealing with Berenice Gabrielli, another member of the Wandenreich’s Sternritter with the designation Q: The Question. Berenice had a special ability that would have taken down any other Soul Reaper, but he couldn’t even touch Zaraki.

Berenice’s ability allowed him to object to the existence and actions of his opponent. If the opponent fails to nullify the objection, they are punished to the point of death. There is no way to easily counter this kind of Schrift, but Zaraki still managed to do that.

Before fighting Berenice, Zaraki gets his eardrums exploded by his former opponent. Because of this, he is unable to hear the “Question” that Berenice asks him, and thus, his Schrift has no effect on Zaraki. After getting irritated with him, Zaraki decides to rip his throat out and carry him on his shoulder only to lay him down in front of Yhwach.

4Kenpachi Zaraki Easily Overcomes His Own Limitations

The third Quincy that Kenpachi Zaraki defeated during the first Quincy raid was Loyd Lloyd. Just like the others, Loyd was also a member of the Wandenreich’s Sternritter, with the schrift designation Y: The Yourself.

Loyd’s schrift allowed him to transform himself into the exact physical likeness of another person. His imitation was so perfect that he could even copy the spiritual pressure and abilities of the individual. And that’s what he did when he faced Kenpachi Zaraki.

A 73-Year Old VA Legend Voiced the 3 Craziest Characters of One Piece, Bleach and Dragon Ball While You Were Fighting Over Eiichiro Oda vs Akira Toriyama

Loyd looked like he would pose a significant threat in front of Zaraki, as he copied Zaraki to the core making it difficult for the Soul Reaper to fight himself. However, Zaraki simply decided to become an even stronger version of himself and take him down quite easily.

5Kenpachi Cuts a Meteor

Another cool moment that made Zaraki look like one of the most awesomeBleachcharacters was during the second raid of Quincies. During this raid, Zaraki faced Gremmy, one of the strongest Quincies within the army. Gremmy had the power to turn his fantasies into a reality.

Thus, when he faced one of the strongest Soul Reapers in theBleachuniverse, he decided to unleash a meteor on him. However, it was probably his biggest mistake because heunderestimated Zaraki’s powers.

When Zaraki saw the meteor, instead of getting scared, he got excited and decided to test his strength against something this ginormous. But even the meteor couldn’t stand in front of Zaraki’s powers as he sliced the meteor in half.
