The Finals Season 2: Best Medium Build

The new season of The Finals went live recently with a new map, some new gear and weapons, and an abundance of balancing changes.

The Season 2 patch did bring some massive balancing changes to the classes, and whileMediumswere nerfed harshly, the Light class received some new gears that used to belong to the Mediums. Also, the Light-specific weapons remained unchanged.

Best Light Build For Tournament

While the XP-54 submachine gun received a slight nerf for its hip-fire accuracy, the rest of the Light weapons are still as powerful as they were before Season 2. Without a doubt, it’s really hard to choose a single weapon in the Light class as the best one as there are at least a few big contenders, but overall, the V92 pistol is still one of the best weapons in The Finals and our top choice for the best Light build over the other weapons.

The pistol’s great accuracy makes it quite a reliable option for a fast-moving class like Light. Also, the small time gap between each fire allows the player to refine their aim over the target and shoot their bullets more effectively and efficiently.

In the Reserve spot, however, we offer XP-45 over M11 and the newly added burst pistol 93R. Unfortunately, none of the new weapons in Season 2 are good enough to shake up the builds in the Weapons' slot, and Embark Studios really needs to start to buff them before it’s too late.

Despite the fact that C4 has been nerfed significantly with its charges reduced from 2 to 1, it’s still one of the greatest tools for the Light build to change the scenery of the battlefield and open up shortcuts to the team’s destination.

The Finals Best Settings For Better FPS And Performance

For the last spot in the main gears, we offer Gas Grenade, as it’s still one of the best throwables in the game, and thanks to its long-lasting poisonous effect in the air, you can defend your Cashout Stations better, even if you are not close enough to the cashout device itself.

In the Reserve slots, you are suggested to include Gateway, Sonar Grenade, and Smoke Grenade. The new Gateway gear is pretty dope for the Light players to confuse opponents, especially when you are defending a vault extraction or a Cashout Station. Gateways are useable for all players, which makes it a worthy gear to include in your loadout to help your team reposition faster.

That being said, we put it in the Reserve slot as the portals can become less worthy if the shape of the battlefield changes or the Cashout Station drops down. So, while it is quite powerful when it works, other players can shoot at the portals to destroy it.

Last but not least, we suggest Grappling Hook as the top Specialty for the Light class, but the gap between Grappling Hook and the other two Specialties is not too much. It really depends on your playstyle. Grappling Hook is perfect for quick traversal, but it can also do the job of Evasive Dash if you get to use it for quick repositioning in tight spaces.
