Many believe the majority of The Finals' cheaters to be based in China, but the game’s Community Manager says that’s not the case, according toGame Rant. In actuality, many cheaters are simply using Chinese usernames to make it more difficult to report them. As such, players shouldn’t expect China to be region-locked, a request many players were making.

It’s not all bad news though, as developer Embark recently explained that the cheating issue is in the process of being rectified. “Over the past few days, we’ve had a technical issue that prevented us from banning cheaters efficiently. We’re now nearing a solution to this bug, and we’ve already begun re-upping our anti-cheat measures again,” Embark said on the game’s official Discord channel (viaMP1st).
The Finals Players Are Fed Up
Although Embark is clearly working to rid of any cheaters found in The Finals, players are sick of running into them, whether it’s with them or against them. So, one player has taken it upon themselves to troll cheaters in an ingenious way.
Toward the final seconds of the clip, the scoreboard shows that the two cheaters got a combined 165 kills, which simply wouldn’t be possible without cheating. However, thanks to the efforts of this user, they couldn’t even win the game. I’d say that’s a win for the good guys.
