The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

In the previous episode of The Devil Is A Part-Timer!, Maou is unexpectedly suspended from his work due to the renovation work and is unable live in his apartment due to repairs. Alongside Emi, Maou heads to Chiho’s house to watch the videotape sent by his landlord. Maou’s landlord offered him a job at a beach hut in Choshi City, but he declines the opportunity.

Later, Maou runs into Sarue, who discloses that he denied Gabriel’s proposal to work with him, and he’s aware of the sword’s location. Chiho shares her feelings with Maou about how she wants to become stronger and support him in both his demon and human forms. Consequently, she decides to join Maou and others on the trip to Choshi City.

After reaching Choshi City, they meet Amane Ohguro, who takes them to the ruined beach hut they need to fix and run. At night, the group notices a shining light, and Amane shares the truth about Mouren Yassa, where the ghosts sink ships to join them. Suddenly, the surrounding area starts to get covered with evil energy, and a giant figure starts to appear from the dark.
