Everyone is sitting peacefully at Grandma Rinia’s home and drinking what looks like hot tea. Arthur is wondering what kind of Divian magic allows for a bigger space inside than the outside. Everyone looks quite worn out, and Rinia says to Arthur that she thought that he would be more alarmed seeing everyone getting unconscious. Arthur replies that he has seen so much that nothing surprises him. Arthur asks Rinia that she knew everything already, to which she replies in affirmation.
Rinia tells Arthur that she wants to tell him more about her Divian powers. Arthur wonders that there’s no mention in the textbooks at Xyrus about this form of Divian magic. Rinia explains to Arthur that those who can use the higher forms of the four basic elements have to find the source of power on their own to fuel their magic. And this is not similar to those mages who get their powers from the mana particles.
She further explains that she has met some Deviants who have a unique property in their magic. But one thing is common in all of them, and that is their pool of mana which they use to power their magic. Rinia tells Arthur that the Diviners can awaken their powers anytime in their life. And when it happens, sometimes the future flashes through their eyes. These flashes of the future don’t use the mana at all.
Arthur asks, what kind of spell did she use on him when he was young, using which he was able to locate and speak to his parents? Rinia says that it was a spell she made to project an image. Rinia explains that every time the Divians look into the future, their lifespan is shortened. Then Rinia tells Arthur about Lania and tells him that she was also a Diviner and much more powerful than her. Rinia tells Arthur about the love life of Lania and Virion. But Virion was the target of Assassination, and Lania was haunted by the visions of his death.
Lania was able to keep Virion alive until the current king Glayder staged a revolt and took down his father. Lania finally won, but it drained too much of her life, and she died a few weeks later.
