Long before Brangelina became a thing, Angelina Jolie was married to singer-songwriter Billy Bob Thornton. However, their relationship, which began with matching couple tattoos and a shared love for gothic aesthetics, abruptly ended in 2003, just three years into their marriage.

Although they were no longer together, there was no animosity between them, as both were often seen speaking kindly about each other. However, the same cannot be said about her ongoing divorce battle with Brad Pitt. In an interview, Thornton revealed why he and Jolie had to go their separate ways.

In an interview for theHEPA in Conversation podcast, the singer talked about his past relationship with Jolie. He added:
I remember our time together as really being great. (Further) We just had different lifestyles. Hers is a global lifestyle and mine is an agoraphobic lifestyle. So, that’s really—that’s the only reason we’re probably not still together, maybe, because of a different path in life we wanted to take.

While the singer-songwriter had only good things to add about the actress. The same cannot be said about her ongoing divorce battle withBrad Pitt.The duo has been legally single since 2019, but despite their marriage ending in 2016, their messy divorce is still pending at the moment.
