The series got a lot of flak from fans because of poor writing as well as because of the speed at which the story unfolded. Many found it to be lacking because most people were unable to connect with the characters or the story itself.
After a mediocre first season, Amazon Prime is ready with the second, which is set to premiere in a few months. Recently, we got the first look of Sauron for Season 2 ofThe Rings of Power. Charlie Vickers played the role in Season 1 and will be reprising it in Season 2 as well. And this is something the fans are not too happy about.

With some minimal changes done to the appearance, it’s easy to identify Sauron, which many fans think should not have been the case. A character that changes shape and form to trick his enemies should not look the same from the beginning to end. And that is where their expectations seem to have hit a wall.

With the show already not getting a lot of positive feedback since its release, this seems like yet another roadblock forThe Rings of Power. Charlie Vickers, who plays the Dark Lord, looks more or less the same in the season 2 first look, as he did in season 1. And this is something fans are not too happy about, as they took to social media to express their frustration.

The response is not too positive since the recent update. But we can only hope the story will be more engaging, and the actors and their performances do justice to these beloved characters.
