The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, a prequel to theLord of the RingsandThe Hobbittrilogy, started airing on Prime Video in 2022. The series got a lot of flak from fans because of poor writing as well as because of the speed at which the story unfolded. Many found it to be lacking because most people were unable to connect with the characters or the story itself.

The Rings of Power recieved mixed reception for its premiere season.

After a mediocre first season, Amazon Prime is ready with the second, which is set to premiere in a few months. Recently, we got the first look of Sauron for Season 2 ofThe Rings of Power. Charlie Vickers played the role in Season 1 and will be reprising it in Season 2 as well. And this is something the fans are not too happy about.

The Rings of PowerReleases First Look of Sauron From Seaaon 2

The main antagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien’sThe Lord of the Rings, Sauron, is the ruler of Mordor. His evils have no limits, and his ambition to rule over the whole of Middle Earth knows no bounds. The character is known for his trickery and his ability to change appearance. But unlike what fans might have thought,The Rings of Powerdid not bring in a new actor to play Sauron in season 2.

Charlie Vickers, who played the role in Seaaon 1, isback for the next seasonas well. With some minimal changes done to the appearance, it’s easy to identify Sauron, which many fans think should not have been the case. A character that changes shape and form to trick his enemies should not look the same from the beginning to end. And that is where their expectations seem to have hit a wall.

Fans React to Charlie Vickers’ First Look as Sauron From Season 2

With the show already not getting a lot of positive feedback since its release, this seems like yet another roadblock forThe Rings of Power. Charlie Vickers, who plays the Dark Lord, looks more or less the same in the season 2 first look, as he did in season 1. And this is something fans are not too happy about, as they took to social media to express their frustration.

The response is not too positive since the recent update. But we can only hope the story will be more engaging, and the actors and their performances do justice to these beloved characters.
