Taylor Swift is gearing up for the launch of her 11th studio album. The singer, who recently won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2022 albumMidnights, made the surprise announcement during her acceptance speech at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. She also revealed the album’s title and release date, followed by an Instagram and Twitter post, sharing the cover of the upcoming album with a handwritten note.

With this latest album, the singer also seems to be taking a leap from the longstanding rule that she has constantly followed since the release of her fourth album.

The singer further shared that she wants to take this opportunity to share a secret that she has been keeping from her fans for the last two years. “My brand new album comes out on April 19,”she said before adding,“It’s called The Tortured Poets Department.”The announcement was promptly followed by an Instagram post revealing the cover of the album alongside a handwritten note.

“All’s fair in love and poetry… New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT,”said the caption of the Instagrampost.The Tortured Poets Departmentwill be her 11th studio album afterMidnights. The 11th album will feature 16 songs, with the bonus track,The Manuscript,exclusively available on physical editions.
