Stephen Colbert has been as unhesitantly outspokenly vocal about his criticism of the current president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, as ever, never letting go of the chance to call him out on his actions and roasting him. So to know that he managed to get a one-on-one meeting with him as well does come as a shock.
But as much of a surprise as it may seem, it’s only true, for Colbert did verify to have the prez appear on his late-night program, even if for only one episode. And if that wasn’t enough, his reviews on that meeting had been even more critical than the stupefying fact that Trump actually agreed to meet his die-hard critic.

This was a one-time-only interview and dates back to nearly a decade ago before Trump gained power as the prez.
Appearing onWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen(viaThe Things), the talk show host candidly came clean about his feelings regarding the same. When asked by Cohen which former President was the best at avoiding questions, Colbert’s unhesitant response without a beat was:Donald Trump. The reason behind this was how he behaved on his show.
As Colbert claimed about Trump’s appearance on his show, “He didn’t even make eye contact — he sat there like a bad schoolboy being lectured.” Adding to this, he wasn’t done with his other insults yet either, for he went on to explain how merely having Trump over for one episode was more than enough for him.

Colbert candidly revealed, “Backstage, he’s just like some guy you might meet at a club. I mean ‘country club,’ not like disco. He’s very clubbish and he’s kind of innocuous in a way. There’s nothing particularly remarkable about him.” Okay, that’s definitely something not everyone can say, especially when it’s the president we’re talking about.

But, since then, not only has Colbert gone on to troll Donald Trump over multiple things over the years, but he has – as it appears to be – also established a pretty hate-hate reaction to thebad schoolboyreputation for himself in the eyes of the talk show host. Plus, after reading all of this, even Trump wouldn’t be happy with Colbert, so that’s that as well.
