Starfieldhasn’t had the smoothest landing into Xbox’s gaming catalog since its 2023 debut, with gameplay that’s failed to keep its player base hooked for the long run. The recent announcement of the Shattered Space DLC during Summer Game Fest isBethesda’sanswer to reenergize the space RPG, but mods may be doing a better job of that.

Something else that’s putting Starfield to shame is the upcomingStar Warstitle, Star Wars Outlaws.Ubisoft’saction-adventure game showcased an impressive (and lengthy) look at gameplay during the developer’s Forward event and gamers wasted no time in comparing the space epic to Starfield’s handling - especially thelanding loading screens.

Starfield’s June Update Is Causing Fans To Review Bomb The Game On Steam

Starfield players continue to criticise Bethesda over Starfield’s newest update, with over 200 negative reviews in one day.

Starfield Welcomes Halo Infinite Armor Collection Mod

Massive RPGs are known to accommodate a plethora of mods created by the player pool to make the game experience more entertaining - as Bethesda’s flagship IPFalloutknows all too well. Starfield has also been given the same treatment of late, including a brand-new mod that puts Halo armor on protagonists.

Uploaded by “Shadow_pryo” on Bethesda Creations, the “Halo Spartan Armor Collection” is a port of Bonepunk’s Halo armor mod for PC. The download “adds different Spartan Cores and attachments” from Halo Infinite to Starfield in five color variants and it’s split into various parts covering helmets, shoulder pads, torso, belt, leg, and arm attachments. The mod also includes assets to recreate the Flood armor from the shooter.

It didn’t take long for news of the mod to spread on social media and Starfield players are having a blast exploring the spacey expanse dressed as Master Chief. The mod has also prompted several players to play in the third person, to see the armor in all its glory, and other players have noted this mod and other’s effect on Starfield’s popularity, saying “I love how so far the Starfield revival has just been news about skin mods so people can distract themselves from how s*** the core of the game is. It’s like Fallout 4 all over again lol.”

In the past, Starfield mods have also allowed you to play as Batman around the galaxy, appealing to a wealth of comic book fans, and modders even managed to make “an awesome Mandalorian game” in Starfield purely through mods, which is giving Star Wars fans the game they’ve always dreamt of - better to take matters into your own hands if you want to make dreams a reality.
