Spontaneous quests have been a recurring phenomenon in many of Bethesda’s games. Sometimes, it is a message you find pinned up on a wall or lying on a desk. Other times, it can be an NPC who runs up to you seemingly out of nowhere while you are in a random part of the game.

Starfieldhas many quests that you will be able to start in different areas depending on your playthrough. This is to allow players toexplore planets they come acrossfreely and still come across them. One such quest will be in the form of a distress call.
Respond To The Lopez Farm Distress Call
While you are playing, you will acquire this quest once you pick up thedistress callcoming fromLopez Farm. The location of this farm candiffer from playthrough to playthrough. This is actually a factor for a lot of the game’s elements, so if you seek out advice on the internet, there is a chance what you’re looking for will not be at the same location. Luckily, once you receive this distress call, you will be able to see the location of where it came from in your quest objectives.
Head to where the quest tells you, and you will findLopez Farm, withAlban Lopezstanding out front. Speaking with him will cause him to pull a gun on you nervously. He is in need of assistance and will inform you that he is willing togive you a rewardif you are willing to help out. Agree to help him, and you will move on to the next step of this quest.
Fix The Satellites
The next step will be to get back into your ship andleave the planet to repair the Lopez Satellite. This won’t be a simple task, as there arespacers in the areathat will attack you on sight. Deal with these hostiles, and then head on over to the Lopez Satellite. Once yourepairit, you will hear a message come through fromAlban. Inform him that everything is working fine and then set off to thenext satellite.
There are plenty more satellites to repair:Lemaire,Banda,andWen. Pick one of them and do the same as before.More spacerswill attack you, and you will need to deal with them before repairing the satellites. Each time you repair one of these satellites, you will hearconversationsof Alban Lopez attempting to reach out to the family of the satellite.

Meet Alban On Lamaire’s Ship
Once you have repaired all the satellites, you will meet up with Alban onLamaire’s Ship. Head on over to where it is marked on your map andbegin dockingto get aboard it. Here, you will meet up with the heads of the remainingfamilieshaving a meeting. Words run hot among them, but Alban will interrupt things to give you areward for your hard work. He will then ask for your assistance yet again infighting the spacersin the area for the families, but first, you’ll need tospeak with Jackie and Bandaabout the hopes of establishing a mutual defense pact that would benefit all parties involved.
After convincing both of them of the pact’s benefits,return to Alban. He will be very impressed with your negotiating skills. Now, you will need to head back onto your ship andtake out all the remaining spacerswhere their ships are orbiting.
Defeat Spacers At Their Starstation
Once all the spacers have been dealt with, you’re able to head on back down to theLopez Farmwhere the map marker is and speak withAlbanonce more. He will inform you that he has narrowed down the location of aStarstationthat the spacers are using as amain base. Once the dialog is finished, get back on your ship and head to theStarstation. There will be plenty ofhostile shipsaround it, and you will need to take them all out beforedockingon the station.
Once you have docked, walk forward a little and turn right to see adoorwith plenty ofmarkerson the other side of it. Head on through this door tojoin the fightagainst the spacers. Make your way through the Starstation, killing any spacer you come across. Thefinal markerat the end of the ship will be the spacer’s captain.
The captain is of asignificantly higher level, sotake out your heaviest-hitting gun. Preferably one with amodificationthat dealsmore damage against humans. Once the captain is defeated, head on over toAlbanand claim your reward tocomplete the quest.
