However, back in At Attin, Neel’s mother, Nooma, convinces Wim’s father, Wendle (Tunde Adebimpe), to steal a “Barrier” key. This access code will allow the group to send a message from the mysterious hidden planet, hoping to take the initial steps toward finding their lost children.
However, the droids — whose increasing appearances make At Attin feel like a police state — are alerted by the energy burst caused by sending the message. They notify Fern’s (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) mother, Fara (Kerry Condon), at Attin’s undersecretary. Fara covers for Wendle and Nooma but insists they must follow proper channels.

Who is Captain Tak Rennod?
KB (Kyriana Kratter) reroutes SM-33’s system, bypasses the “kill all” protocol, and begins telling the group about his former captain, Tak Rennod — one of the most infamous pirates the galaxy has ever known. Rennod and his ship, Onyx Cinder, vanished while searching for the treasure-filled lost planet. However, SM-33 also reveals that the coordinates home are hidden in the captain’s secret lair beneath Skull Ridge Mountain.
This means they must travel to the planet Lanupa, which was once notorious for its cruel treatment of prisoners but has since been revamped into a spa and wellness retreat. (Think of the prison inThe Shawshank Redemptionbeing turned into a hotel.) Of course, being a family-oriented show, hijinks ensue: the children pose as guests, while Jod assumes the alias of a professor named “Professor Gorelox.”

Meanwhile, Kelly Macdonald plays Pokkit, who mistakenly believes Nawood’s name is Dash Zentin. It turns out Jod has dozens of aliases, which Fern finds suspicious. Before she departs, Pokkit warns the children not to trust Jod. The same goes for a hotel guest named Cthallops (Patrick Seitz), who warns Fern of Jod’s selfish ways. That’s when Nawood’s old crew shows up at Lanupa as the “skeleton” crew climbs down Rennod’s secret home.
