The next big escapade on theStar Warsgaming scene will beMassive EntertainmentandUbisoft’sStar Wars Outlaws but previews aren’t getting a good reception. Despite offering large-scale exploration, without beingjust another open-world Ubisoft game, new characters to become acquainted with in the franchise’s lore, and exciting combat and traversal mechanics, impressions on the graphics and fluidity have been received negatively.
Something that gamersarechampioning is Outlaws’ ability to blowStarfield’s landing loading screensout of the water. Bethesda’s space epic disappointed some gamers when traversal felt contained, but galaxy explorers are hoping the upcoming adventure with scoundrel, Kay Vess, provides top-tier escapism.

Star Wars Outlaws’ Visuals Are Disappointing Fans After Preview
IGNrecently released a 10-minute preview covering a brand-new mission from Outlaws set on the iconic planet of Tatooine. The expert mission sees Kay navigate Jawa and a Sarlacc pit - made infamous from Boba Fett’s predicament - packed with combat, stealth, and exhilarating cruise control on the Speeder.
Several elements from the mission proved impressive, including the environmental design as Kay infiltrated a bandit camp and the pit using several objects to her advantage. Speeder chases will be on the cards to feel integrated with the universe when another character steals something of value, and the aid Kay receives from her companion creature Nix in combat is sure to be a real crowd pleasure.

However, viewers of the preview were quick to voice their disappointment on social media regarding the game’s graphics, environment, and movement. One comment voiced “Graphics are really outdated. Environment looks empty. Was eagerly waiting for this one. Looks like I will skip this one too.” Popular gaming insider Shinobi602 was quick to defend the game’s empty feeling by saying “To be fair the environment here is kind of empty because they’re rolling around Tatooine’s desert.”
Another negative response said, “This looks seriously dated and it’s yet to come out.” Someone else weighed in saying “Honestly, it looks like a mixed bag. The speeder and the ship look so cool and fun. Any part she’s running around or in combat it looks very underwhelming.” Kay’s stealth slide to avoid being seen by enemies, textures, face animations, and an explosion cutscene were other rocky elements that were picked up on by audiences.

Despite a majority agreeing that this preview looked like a visual downgrade compared to previous footage, positivity was aired towards the game’s gunplay and the music, but considering the performance issues on show, fans are worried about what the final product will look like since we’re only six weeks away from release.
