STALKER 2has a funny way of making the most routine quests seem like insurmountable challenges. But not always because of insanely skilled bandits, or terrifying anomalies. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a pesky locked door that you’ll need to find a way to get around.

Stalker 2 On Controller Doesn’t Play Right

Stalker 2 doesn’t like your controller very much, but GSC Game World has promised to fix things.

This is the challenge that many players have encountered when taking on a side quest at the Slag Heap called No Honor Among Thieves.

Huron, the merchant at the Slag Heap, will send you to talk to the Brood and get his shipment, but as you might have gathered. It’s not quite as easy as walking over and politely asking for it.

How To Start No Honor Among Thieves

This quest can be taken on as soon as you arrive in the Slag Heap within the Garbage region of the map. Head to the trader in this area, and you’ll find Huron, who has a job for you.

When you take this task on, you’ll then be sent a stone’s throw away from the Slag Heap to check out the Brood’s makeshift hideout. But upon arrival, you see what some other bandits got to them first.

How To Open The Door

You’ll be able to see your dead contacts inside the building, but to find out where your Shipment is, you’ll need to get inside to find a PDA. But the problem is that the door is locked tight.

It seems for all the world that you should be able to climb up on the digger nearby that leads into the attic of the building. Which, don’t get me wrong, is the way in,but climbing the digger is a no-go.

Instead, you’ll want toinvestigate the Red Shipping Crates nearbyand then use your pistol to get rid of the boxes blocking the path forward.

Standard PTMS and AK’s are fine, but let’s face it, you want something special to blow bandit’s faces off.

This will take you onto the top of these crates, and then, with a well-timed sprint and jump, you’ll be able to hop onto the digger and tightrope over to the building.

Drop in there and grab a PDA from the dead Brood guys, and this will give you the coordinates for where the shipment is now.

Where To Find The Shipment

Head toward your marker, and you’ll find the bandit’s base. The shipment is inside the biggest building in the area, but, as has been the theme of this quest, the doors are locked once again.

Firstly, take out any guards outdoors, either guns blazing, or with some sneaky skills. Then, once the coast is clear, use the boxes at the front of the building to clamber up to the second floor.

Then, turn left, and you’ll find a hole dropping into a locked area on the first floor. This is where their leader is, and where your Shipment is waiting for you.

Kill Them Or Spare Them?

This will instigate a chat with the leader of this bandit crew, and you’ll have a choice to make.

He’s willing to have his men stand down, and he’s willing to turn over the shipment. But, if you choose to spare his life, he’s willing to give you the coordinates to the Shah’s stash nearby.

Seeing as you don’t gain anything from murdering them here and now, letting them go is a real no-brainer. Plus, if you want to kill them after getting the info, you always have that option.

After this, you can head back to the Slag Heap and turn in the quest.Which will net you a cool 2159 Coupons from Huron. Then you can take off to the Shah’s Stash.

You will need to prepare for a fight with a Bloodsucker, but provided you can survive that, you’ll walk away with a unique SMG variant called Shah’s Mate. It’s not remarkable, but it’s a decent early-game option in great condition.

So, nothing to be sniffed at. Plus, because you’re so close to the Slag Heap, even if you don’t want it, you might as well walk it back and sell it.
