Kotaku’s Jason Schreier reportedon Twitterpart of his interview with Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase during E3 2019. When asked about how many partsFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be, Yoshinari Kitase answered that they don’t know yet themselves.

Square Enix already mentioned multiple times in the past thatFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be in multiple parts, each part forming a full game experience. The first part of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be covering all the initial events in Midgard from the original game. In the originalFF7, this part didn’t last more than ten hours even by dragging one’s feet, so it’s quite intriguing to see what will be added to make this first part in the remake a " full game".

I have to say it’s a bit worrying, as I’m wondering when the sequels parts ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be launching. I’m not sure waiting over a year between each part, which is an optimistic estimate, would feel that great. I’m starting to wonder how many years will it take for us to see Yuffie, Cid, Vincent, and Cait Sith supposing they don’t have cameos in the first part.

Final Fantasy 7 Remakeis launching on June 29, 2025, exclusively on PS4. The game will be shipping on two Blu-rays. You can take a look atthe two Limited Editions.

AtE3 2019, Final Fantasy 7 Remakegot abrand new trailerand an explanation of its battle system and Materia system, with pre-recordedgameplay showing Cloud and Barett fighting the Scorpion Sentinel.
