A listing viaGamestop Germanyseemingly confirms that theSpyro Reignited Trilogywill be launching for the Nintendo Switch sometime later this year. While nothing has been officially revealed as of right now, it frankly wouldn’t be surprising at all to seeSpyromake his way onto Switch considering theCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogymade its way onto the console-handheld hybrid in June of 2018. The Gamestop Germany listing has theSpyro Reignited Trilogyposted with a release date August 16.
TheSpyro Reignited Trilogyoriginally launched for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 last year. This collection contains the first three originalSpyrogames that had made their way exclusively onto the first PlayStation home console starting in 1998. Now thatSpyro’sno longer in Sony’s hands, all new players have the chance to jump into these classics on multiple platforms.
Spyro is definitely a great fit on Nintendo’s console, only further enhancing its library of fantastic platformer experiences likeSonic Mania,Super Mario Odyssey,Celeste,and more. Considering developer Toys For Bob ported theCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogyto Switch and fully developed theSpyro Reignited Trilogyfor PS4 and Xbox One,fans can expect a really solid port when the game does make its way onto Nintendo Switch.
BothSpyro Reignited TrilogyandCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogysaw major success even decades after the original titles both launched. Additionally, on June 21, longtimeCrash Bandicootfans and newcomers alike will be able to get their hands onCrash Team Racing Nitro Fueled,an updated remaster of the original 1999 PlayStation kart racer. It’s certainly awesome to see some of these retro titles get a new coat of paint as well as refinements to their overall gameplay; which in some cases hasn’t aged all too well on the PS1 hardware.
