InSolo Leveling, Sung Jinwoo is the definition of the weakest to strongest as he rises from being an E-rank hunter to the most powerful existence and a guardian of humanity. It felt like he seemingly controlled his own fate, with the help of the System, he managed to change his entire destiny,

Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling.

However, what if he was never truly in control? What if it was all planned, and he was just a puppet in the hands of some higher beings? The Rulers, who are the celestial beings tasked with maintaining balance, seem to be benevolent forces opposing the Monarchs.

But what if they manipulated Sung Jinwoo all along, making him rise the deepest and darkest to the epitome of mortals and ensuring their own victory without ever putting themselves at risk? It would truly be a master stratagem.

The System: A tool for manipulation?

Throughout the story, we see Sung Jinwoo get progressively stronger, and theRulers rarely engage the Monarchs in combat directlydespite their immense power. While they claim to be protectors and guardians of the universe and existence, their actions usually suggest otherwise.

They seem to have their own motives and desires as they allow humanity and Jinwoo to bear the brunt of the war, only stepping in when absolutely necessary. Even during the final battle against Antares, it could be seen that their intervention feels like a last resort. To save their efforts, rather than as a well-planned assault.

“There’s not enough voice actors”: J Balvin Joining ‘Solo Leveling’s’ Dub Raises Concerns About the Anime’s Quality

This raises an important question, if the Rulers were truly so committed to stopping the Monarchs, then why wouldthey ever let Jinwoo rise to the rank of one?Especially since the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn fully trusted him to continue his legacy. Why didn’t the Rulers use their immense about of abilities and destroy them from the very beginning? Did they ever intend to?

This raises many questions; maybe they just wanted to get rid of their boredom while accomplishing their goal, which is why they raised Jinwoo to do their dirty work and fight their battles for them.

Was it all for their own benefit?

The System is what was designed to train Jinwoo into the ultimate warrior, but we are not sure if it was indeed, created by Ashborn, the original Shadow Monarch.

Rather than resisting Jinwoo’s rise, the Rulers seemed to encourage it. Every challenge he faced, every level he gained, brought him closer to becoming the only being capable of defeating the Monarchs.

The System may have been Ashborn’s creation, but the Rulers might have seen their own benefits and manipulated either Jinwoo or the System itself. It might seem legitimate, but in fact was all a sham from the very onset.

We Can Never Forgive ‘Solo Leveling’ From Stealing the Spotlight of Sung Jinwoo’s Biggest Ally

Sung Jinwoo believed he was the master of his own fate, but what if he was just a piece in the Rulers’ larger game? While they appeared benevolent, their lack of direct involvement suggests their disinterest and unwillingness to risk or bother themselves with fighting the Monarchs.
