Skeleton Crewhas been one of the better-received shows from Disney’s Star Warscanon, with fans actually happy about the subject of the episodes. While nowhere close to the best that was offered by the IP, the fact that there are no boycotts of the show is a win in itself, which is a very sad state of affairs for one of Hollywood’s biggest franchises.

Jude Law’s character, Jod Na Nawood, is known to be Force-sensitive, and while the show is just getting started, there are theories about Nawood’s past, especially from sources like cast lists on sites like IMDb, which list another actor portraying a character with the same last name, which could point towards more complex history with the character.
Jude Law could be portraying an ex-Jedi
According to IMDb, Haley Webb, ofTeen Wolffame, will be playing a character called Ninaa Nawwood, having the same last name asJude Law‘s Jod Na Nawood. Ninaa has explicitly been listed as a Jedi, and given that the story takes place in the wake of the Fall of the Empire, it is possible that Ninaa andJod could be survivorsof Order 66.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Taking Inspiration From One of George Lucas’ Most Controversial Moves Makes the Show 1000 Times Better
This would make sense, given their advanced age, and the fact that they are Force-sensitive. It is probably the case that theSkeleton Crewis running parallel toThe Mandalorianand its events, and could possibly tie into the plots involving Moff Gideon (should he be alive as many have speculated) and Grand Admiral Thrawn. It would be sound speculation to expect the fallout fromAhsokaSeason 2 to make an appearance at the end of the show.
Is Star Wars introducing Jedi survivors to give Luke the last huzzah he deserved after the Fall of the Empire?
In the New Republic Era of Star Wars, Disney has been keen on rallying all the Jedi that it can, be it minting new ones like Sabine Wren, or bringing out survivors with the likes Jod. There is also the fact that Luke Skywalker had a horrible arc in the sequel trilogy, which was largely panned by fans. The New Republic Era has threats in the likes of Thrawn and his Dathomiri witches, and the likes of Moff Gideon, who might still be alive.
‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ Makes History by Using Franchise’s 27-Year-Old Curse Word Onscreen for the First Time
This, coupled with the fact that a Mandalorian and Grogu film is in development, could lead to Luke Skywalker getting to lead bokken and rogue Jedi into battle against Imperial Remnants, which might redeem Luke’s image after the fall of the Empire, and before the rise of the First Order, along with the defection of his nephew, Ben Solo.
