In case you didn’t know, Stellar Blade is headed to PC. While no formal announcement has been made, the studio confirmed this as part oflast year’s earnings report.

It won’t be a lazy port as well, as the developer aims for the game to have additional bells and whistles compared to its PS5 version.

Stellar Blade On PC Expected To Sell More Than Console

In Shift Up’s latestearnings report, the company told investors that they expect the PC version of Stellar Blade to outsell the console (PS5) version. They also aim to introduce new features to the PC version when it’s released. Players can expect “additional content” though it wasn’t specified what it was; Steam Deck optimization, and PC optimization (which should mean better graphics).

While Shift Up didn’t mention it, I’d expect any new content to be released on the PS5 as a title update.

No release date or time frame has been given for Stellar Blade’s PC debut, though we expect an announcement will be on the way soon.

Stellar Blade was released in April 2024 on the PS5 and was an immediate success. While the protagonist’s design choices caused controversy (which you canread about here), they haven’t affected the game’s critical rating much.

OnOpen Critic, Stellar Blade is currently at a “Strong” rating, with 83% of media people recommending it to gamers.

Shift Up has already publicly stated thatthey are mulling a sequel, which we wouldn’t be surprised to hear is in development.

While nothing has been announced so far, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more content and features released for the game. So far, the only premium DLC we’ve gotten from Shift Upis a collaboration with Square Enix’s NieR Automatafranchise, which was released in November.

Once the official PC version is announced, expect to see it here on DualShockers.
