Sweeney has a reputation for having hobbies that many would consider extremely dangerous. Famously doing MMA training, as well as enjoying dirt biking, wakeboarding, and skiing, that actress has proved her love for the outdoors time and time again. The one thing that does come with sports like these is the danger of getting seriously hurt. The actress shared her own story of a near-death experience that happened when she was extremely young.

Sydney Sweeney Almost Died When She Was Wakeboarding
Sydney Sweeneyrecently gave an interview withHot Ones, where she touched on many topics in her life, all the while promoting her new film,Madame Web. Here, she was asked about the most terrifying experience she had when she was doing a dangerous sport. She revealed that when she was younger, she got into a very serious accident while she was wakeboarding.
“I think I was eleven or twelve, I got in a wakeboarding accident and the board came up sliced my face and I have a scar. And I had to get a bunch of stitches”said Sweeney

The actress revealed that when she was taking part in the water sport, the board that she was standing on ended up flying up and hitting her in the face. Since it was at very high speeds under extreme conditions, the actress ended up slicing her face. She had to get stitches and the wound left her a scar as a reminder of the experience.

Sydney Sweeney Was Terrified To Wakeboard After Her Accident
It would seem that Sydney Sweeney remembers another memory more clearly than the accident itself. She then talked about what her feelings towards wakeboarding were like after her accident, she stated that she was extremely scared to partake in it. So much so that she was afraid to even stand on the board itself. That was until her mother intervened.
“My mom took me back out to the lake and put me back in the water and I’m screaming, crying cause I did not want to get back up on the board. I was terrified. And she would not let me leave until I stood back up”revealed Sweeney.

The actress revealed that her mother ended up forcing her to get on the board, not letting her leave the water until she did. It ended up being a formative experience for Sweeney. The reason for this is that it taught the actress not to give up when something bad happens and to always get back on the horse.
