Due to her lust for power, she can go to any extent, and that is what scares him. Apart from that, there is another reason why he is afraid of her.

So, Charlotte Pudding was conceived with the motive of helping her mother reach Laughtale by reading the inscription on the poneglyphs. In a way, the children are Big Mom’s true strengths.
Eiichiro Oda Is Afraid Of Big Mom
To gain power, Big Mom can go to any extent. She is only loyal to power and nothing else. Being a human, she always tried to have physical relationships with different people belonging to different races. It diversified his kingdom since all of them were hybrid humans. But the frightening part was that after conceiving the babies, she would discard their fathers. Charlotte Chiffon and Charlotte Lola’s father, Pound, somehow escaped and wandered the Seducing Woods.
