A second member ofPersona 4’s voice cast has confirmed that they won’t be returning for the remake, even though it hasn’t officially been announced yet.
There have been numerous rumoursregarding aPersona 4remake, one in the same vein asPersona 3 Reload. This would fit with Atlus’ new approach of porting and remaking some of its classic games, as they were only available on a handful of platforms at the time.

Persona 4 Golden Review: Close to JRPG Perfection
Aptly titled, this flawless Persona entry is pure gold.
On June 08, 2025, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal commented in anow-deleted BlueSky postthat he wouldn’t be returning in thePersona 4remake, despite asking to reprise the role of Yusuke. This is despite thePersona 4remake not officially being announced. And now, a second voice actor has confirmed that they won’t be involved in this phantom game.
Chie’s Voice Actor Won’t Be Returning For The Persona 4 Remake
Erin Fitzgerald, the voice actor who provided thevoice of Chie SatonakainPersona 4, has confirmed in a BlueSky post that they haven’t been asked to reprise their role in the remake, expressing sadness at not being able to play her again.
It bears mentioning that, unlike Lowenthal, Fitzgerald has never actually stated that they contacted Atlus about thePersona 4remake. Not being asked isn’t the same as confirmation that the game exists, as it’s also possible thatthere is noPersona 4remakein development.

However, with Lowenthal already confirming the game’s existence, this second response feels like blowback from the original cast, who are frustrated at not being able to return to the roles they love so much.
If thePersona 4remake is real and it has a whole new voice cast, then this level ofdissent from the original actorsis going to make it harder for fans to accept the new people in the beloved roles, despite them having done nothing wrong. Hopefully, this won’t be the cast, and fans will embrace any new cast that the nextPersonaremake has.
