They reported that the film is going to have a release date of August 08, 2025, and Neve Campbell will be coming back for her role as Sidney Prescott.

While the fact that Prescott is coming back to the forefront of the story is quite a bold decision, it is the initial part of the announcement that is quite concerning. The fact that the next film will be coming out three years after the previous one was released is a poor decision on its own.
