His upcoming action thrillerRoad House, a remake of the original 1989 film of the same name, further proves this claim.

Recently, the original trailer for the much-awaited movie found its way to the World Wide Web, and Gyllenhaal can be seen giving it his all as he gets into a brutal brawl with none other than Conor McGregor, the UFC fighter and champion with a record.

And after looking at that, fans can’t help but complain about how much the movie deserves the theatrical release that Amazon robbed it of.

While fans have been excited about 1989’sRoad Houseremake ever since they first saw photos ofJake Gyllenhaal‘s ripped physique for it, the newly released trailer for the movie has taken this excitement to extraordinary heights.

The movie, which would be directly released for streaming on Prime Video (despite the film’s cast and crew’s desperate efforts to get it a theatrical release), recently got its trailer released onYouTube, and fans are going crazy about it.

In the trailer, Gyllenhaal can be seen fiercely clashing with none other than the Irish mixed martial artist and professional boxer (renowned for being the first-ever UFC fighter to hold UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Championships records simultaneously),Conor McGregor.

Helmed by the mastermindDoug Liman, the film features theDonnie Darkostar as Elwood Dalton, a former UFC fighter who wounds up working for a shady Florida bar as its security while McGregor embodies the role of his physical rival, Knox.

Moreover, the trailer also revealed thatDaniela Melchiorwill be playing the character of Ellie, who is apparently a nurse and Dalton’s love interest in the movie, whileJessica Williamswill be seen in the role of the owner of the shady bar that Dalton ends up working for the security of.

As can be seen in the almost three-minute-long clip, both Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor are in the most perfect shapes of their lives, and hold some clearly epic performances in store with the 1989 western’s remake, which is seemingly similar in many ways to the original movie.

However, as perfect as the trailer is for theRoad Houseremake, fans still have one big complaint and demand with Amazon MGM Studios Distribution:Let the movie get a theatrical release.

Well, considering how theRoad Houseremake has gotten some critically appreciated reviews and acknowledgment even before its release, it would be more profitable to let Jake Gyllenhaal’s next get released first, as per fans’ demands. But then again:To each his own.

Road Houseremake will be hitting Prime Video by the 21st of March, 2024. As for its trailer, you can stream it below:
