Resident Evil 4 Remakehas many puzzles for players to complete to advance to the next areas. For the most part, Resident Evil has a linear format with puzzles unlocking the path forward instead of a new wing of a building you’re trapped in.

Resident Evil 4 Remake also makes some changes to the preexisting changes, like the lake. This area is now a lot larger with more to explore, and requires two statute heads from different regions of the lake to obtain the church key. To get each of these statute heads, you’ll need to go to the locations seen on the mural and marked on your map, one of them being the Large Cave Shrine.
Getting To The Shrine
The location of this shrine will be marked on your map thanks to the mural. After arriving at this cave, players will see an upper and lower route. There are multiple infected enemies along both routes, but thelower route will help you see all the needed hints for the puzzle.
With the recentintroduction of the Ganados' Plagaor the tentacle-headed monsters,be careful with your headshots. It can quickly feel like most of the enemies in this cave are itching to transform after being shot in the head. For those wanting to save ammo clearing this cave,you can lure infected back to your boat, getting in to be able to throw harpoons instead. After the lake monster fights, you’ll be a pro at aiming these harpoons, and they also deal a considerable amount of damage.

Solving The Dias
While getting closer to the Dias, there will be three different symbols painted onto the walls in yellow paint. These are the symbols that need to be entered to solve the puzzle. The first of the yellow symbols arepainted at the bottom of the ladder before you reach the Diasif you’re coming from the lower section.
The next symbol is found afterturning around from the Dias among the rock formations; while it will mostly be clear which symbols they are, you’ll need toline Leon up for the proper point of viewto see them.
The final symbol can be found by walking away from the Dias following the upper path, then turning before the bridge andwalking back towards the Dias, looking at the upper right area.
For those looking for an easier option than finding the symbols, we’ve marked the correct symbols to select on the Dias. Theorder they are pressed doesn’t matter,but you’ll have to start over if a wrong symbol is pressed. After selecting the three symbols, you’ll enter the back room and beable to retrieve the statute’s head within. Also, note that collecting the head will spawn many more enemies to fight on your way back to your boat to continue exploring the lake.
